Session 1
U.S - China Energy Cooperation and Policies
China's energy economy is facing one of its biggest challenges, but it also brings China a precious opportunity to fully implement a structural upgrade to its unhealthy energy industry. Meanwhile, on the other side of Pacific, U.S. has introduced the All-of-the-above energy strategy in 2014 to set a path to sustainable economic growth. The Clean Power Plan Obama administration announced last year reiterates U.S. resolution towards a clean energy future. Cooperation between the two not only is essential to the transformation of their own energy economy, but is even more critical to the advancement of a sustainable global economy.
Session 2
U.S AND CHINA POLICIES ON ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
U.S.-China Ten Year Framework for Energy and Environment Cooperation not only advances the welfare of more than 20% of world population, but also inspires and encourages the whole world to join forces to make our mother earth a better place. For the next decade, U.S and China still need to confront many unprecedented challenges, and the two countries will continue to jointly conquer them.
